Connect GitHub and sync repositories

Install the GitHub App

Open the GitHub page from an organization you manage and choose Connect GitHub. GitHub will ask you to install the InstaSLA GitHub App on a user account or organization and choose repository access.

Choose repositories deliberately

Start with repositories that matter for customer-facing products, compliance scope, or active engineering ownership. You can select a smaller set first, verify alert sync, and expand later as owners and policies are ready.

Sync and inspect status

After installation, run a manual sync. Each installation and repository records last sync time, status, and any error message so support can diagnose permission or API issues without asking for secrets.
